If you were on a jury, how would you vote if a gay killed a gay basher?
I am a 34 year old gay elementary school teacher. I am five foot four, 112 pounds. I live in one low income neighborhood in Los Angeles, and teach in another. I often take the subway (metrolink) to get to work on days I don't do grocery shopping.
I have shoulder length hair; I wear Birkenstocks and a man purse. I am not going to change who I am to blend into society. I shouldn't have to. I have been gay bashed before. Never again. The City of Los Angeles and the County of Los Angeles, don't issue gun permits for concealed carry; Los Angeles has three million people and 200 gun permits. Los Angeles County has 9 million people and 500 gun permits. So to carry a gun, you must do it illegally. I have found that the only gun that will pass a police "stop and frisk" is a .25 automatic.Los Angeles has 3 million people and only 8,000 cops, so they handle the enormous gang problem by stopping and frisking any male under 40 that they can. By "degunning" people by constant stop and frisk checks they hope to control gang violence. So if you take the subway in Los Angeles, you can count on on a cordon-and-search of all younger men on public transportation. I have been searched three times by police (LA Sheriff's Deputies, Los Angeles Police Department, Burbank Police Department) with a .25, and they did not detect the weapon on me. I currently carry a Beretta Model 950 Jetfire with Brazilian Magsafe 22 grain 1750 feet per second expanding bullets.
I often find, particularly after dark, that I catch some negative attention on the Metrolink because of my appearance.It has gone as far as being pushed and messed with, and having possessions of mine taken. I am not going to live in a hole or change who I am. I will however defend myself if I have to.

Could I still go to college if my loan is in default?
I started college in 2002 and did well my first semester. Then toward the beginning of my second semester, I suddenly got a really good job offer in my dream city of Los Angeles, CA. I was only 18 years old, dumb and decided to quit college so I could take this high paying job of my dream career in the city of angels.
At the time I was on financial aide and I didn't have a loan out or anything. But I made the mistake of quitting my classes during the third week of my second semester without contacting anyone. I just quit school and suddenly moved to LA. The job was pretty successful for the past ten years. But now I just moved back to my home town, I'm broke (because I spent all my money on stupid stuff) and I really wanna go back to school.
I found out later that my financial aide was transferred into a loan and I have to pay it back. I don't have money and I can't find any work. I wanna get a degree in something and could be certified within the next year. Would I be able to apply for financial aide again and be accepted as long as I take out a loan (and pay every month) for all the schooling... In other words, could I just take all my debt and future tuition and continue with my loan, and still be able to start school now?

okay here's my dilemma not sure if i'm the one who got ticketed..i know i turn left while on yellow..but for some reason the traffic camera start flashing..not sure if i'm the one or the other drivers driving at the same time...anyways how long before they send me that ticket?? and i'm from city of los angeles...i heard they change the law in traffic camera is that right?
