Why Studios Need Los Angeles Film Locations

When a science fiction film is being produced, it's not surprising that many of the film's backgrounds are created using computer generated imaging or built on a studio back lot. That's because this is a fantastic film that's not based in reality, or at least for the most part. But, when a film is trying to deliver a believable story, studios will usually opt for actual, physical Los Angeles film locations to serve as the backdrop.

For this type of movie, the producers may require an average-looking single family dwelling in which the film's family will be experiencing some type of inner turmoil or crisis. Or, they may need a slightly dilapidated apartment building to lend their story the realistic atmosphere of inner city plight.

While studio craftsman and technicians can pull off some incredible effects and magical moments; this type of realism can only be found at Los Angeles film locations that actually exist.

Additionally, when a studio is producing a film, television program or commercial, time is money. And most executives don't want to wait for a backdrop to be created from scratch; they would rather pay for a Los Angeles film location that's already available and ready for filming. Therefore, studios of all sizes are constantly on the lookout for suitable film locations in Los Angeles or the surrounding area that conveniently fit within their script's set descriptions and timeframe allowances.

For those individuals who register their property as a Los Angeles film location, their property will be made available for viewing through online databases like the one available from FiveStarFilmLocations.com. It is through these directories that many studio location scouts find their ideal Los Angeles film locations. Once your property is chosen as a film location, the studio will pay you a daily rate for the right to use it in their production. And depending on a number of factors, that could be quite a significant amount of money.

Don't you think when you have to start buying water to drink this isn't a problem?
Now the air we breathe is a problem . Now they have been selling machines to clean the air in our homes. What about the outside air ? Los Angeles air quality has got to be the worst place then anywhere, you can't even see one star at night . We are so over populated it's crazy . 101 fwy jammed all the time . To many kids in a class room . How do you keep so many kids interested in school subjects with so many children with one teacher who can't give individual attention when required and it's not there fault ? When your child gets behind and you start communicating with the teacher to bring up his grades and with one month left till summer and a grade goes up from a D to a B help me understand how can that happen in a month? Bottom line our taxes are going where???? It's sickens me. Freeway walls get built and people adopt the wall they gave money to build . 25% of homeless people are the kids that came home from war they fought for us and they have no place to go. Blame it all on cigarettes ignore our air quality as everything else . Oh yea they must be getting lots of money from cig. Company's ! they need stop the bs

How can I better 'air-out' my loft living space?
I have been living in a loft in downtown Los Angeles for about a month. The size of the place is akin to about the size of a normal Apple Store I would say. The ceilings are very high. I've cleaned/vacuumed much of the place. There was a lot of small, white particle dust which the owner says was from 'popcorn ceiling' that he set up one day for a photography shoot. I have since cleaned most of what I could find. Anyway, I have done my best to clean the place, and I keep the two ceiling fans on, and have bought a Voronado table fan. I also keep the windows open and don't have the air conditioning on because I don't like the chemicals from air conditioning. My question is this: how can I create an atmosphere of better ventilation in the loft. Would buying an air purifier or humdifier be worth it since the space is so large? There are no walls; it is one giant concrete space. I seem to have a perpetual sore throat as well. Not a bad one, but light and constant. Could that be due to the Los Angeles air quality? Thank you.
