The Best Theme Parks In Los Angeles

LA has two great things going for it - some superb beaches and a wealth of fantastic theme parks to delight and amaze you.

But while you may want to visit one or two of the beaches during your stay in Los Angeles, make sure you have plenty of time to experience the various theme parks that are on offer.

Universal Studios is probably one of the most famous and best loved of all the parks. This is partly because it offers more than just one experience. Not only do you have the actual theme park, you also have the tour of the movie studios to look forward to. This is unmissable if you want a chance to see the stars.

Even if you aren't lucky enough to see anyone famous, you'll certainly see lots of famous movie sets. This is one of the main reasons why so many people enjoy the tour. How much of it will look familiar to you?

If you are visiting with the whole family then Disneyland will be another good place to visit. Alongside the big rides there are smaller ones that are designed for the younger members of the family to enjoy. This is definitely another location which requires a full day to appreciate the best of it.

Many of the theme parks are designed to ensure that all the family has plenty of fun. So even though they aren't the cheapest days out you will certainly get your money's worth from each one. Make sure you grab a map for each theme park as soon as you arrive; it's a good idea to sit down for a few moments and figure out where you would like to go first. Then you can plan a route round the park you are visiting, to make sure you take in the best it has to offer.

Another great option to consider when visiting Los Angeles is Legoland. If you played with Lego when you were younger you will know just how addictive it can be. And there is nothing quite like seeing Miniland, which contains scale reproductions of famous sights in the US including the Statue of Liberty.

There are several more theme parks to visit in LA as well, and they are all within a reasonable distance of each other. This means that you can choose a hotel that puts you nice and close to several of the parks. There are lots of Los Angeles hotels available so you will be sure to find one that suits your needs and requirements.

Remember too that some of the theme parks can be booked in advance, which can sometimes save you money. It's worth doing your research before you go in order to make your theme park visits even more memorable.

Obama-libs call for dismissal of a racist: Obama fury over Clinton backer Ferraro's race remark WASHINGTON (AFP) - Barack Obama's White House campaign lashed out in fury Tuesday after a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter attributed his stunning march through US politics to his race. Obama aide Susan Rice called for Clinton to fire Geraldine Ferraro, the only woman yet to run on a major party's presidential ticket, after her comments Friday to a Los Angeles newspaper. "That's a really outrageous and offensive comment," Rice said on MSNBC television after Ferraro, who sits on Clinton's finance committee, had said: "If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position." http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20080311/ts_alt_afp/usvotedemocratsracism **** ...while anti-Semitic Louis Farrakhan gets praised by Obama's church. [By the way, your racist remark doesn't work... except that it goes to show that HILLARY HAS THE SUPPORT OF RACISTS.] I hope by "your" you don't mean me, because I didn't say anything racist, I merely quoted a story. Further, I don't support Hillary for other than the DNC nomination.
