How screwed am I for College with pretty poor 9th/10th grade results?
I'm worried for college... Last year in 9th grade, I got pretty icky grades. 2-3 Cs, the rest As and Bs. Last semester here in 10th grade, I got 3 Cs and 4 Bs. However, I'm taking seven courses including three language classes (including English) and two APs. I slacked the first semester but now am kicking it into gear. Let's say I manage to get 3 Bs and 4 As by the end of the semester. Do the 9th and 10th grade years really screw me over? Even assuming I do wondrous in 11th-12th grade? Potential Universities: New York University University of Pennsylvania University of California - Berkeley University of California - Los Angeles University of Hong Kong Stanford University It wasn't so much a slack off as it was a down-in-the-dumps period, but regardless, I've always been an intelligent student. Even if I do well second half of 10th grade, and in SAT, Junior/Senior Year? Still no chance?

Which of these film schools would you pick if you could only pick 5 and lived in San Diego?
American Film Institute Conservatory,UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles),University of Southern California,California Institute of the Arts,UCSD (University of California, San Diego), Full Sail in Canada, Vancouver Film School, New York Film School. . . im making an account on Fastweb and I need to choose five schools of interest. Transfering from a Junior College in Texas to an out of state University?
I am 27 years old and have recently started college again. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am looking to transfer to an out of state University. I have narrowed my choices down to eight universities. I am concerned about transferable credits... and if the eight schools i have chosen will even accept out of state transfer students, and if my age will be an issue. The schooled are listed below by personal desirability based on academic standards and location: -New York University-New York -Emerson College-Boston -Loyola University-Maryland -Ohio State University-Columbus -California State University- Los Angeles -University of Washington-Seattle -La Salle University-Philadelphia -University of Nevada-Las Vegas I am also concidering Rice and UT-Austin which are irrevelant to this question. What steps do I need to take to start the transfer process and can anyone tell me if I really even stand a chance at getting accepted to any of these Universities/Colleges? I'm having trouble on choosing a college..(California universities) UCSD UCI UCRS...?
I'm undecided on what to do, so what the school majors in doesn't really matter to me... Though I'm interested in psych and veterinarian studies, but I don't think I want to follow that. Ive researched a lot of schools, and I'm going to visit them in a few days. But I wanted peoples opinions, there personal opinions, on what school they like and such. Right now I'm focused on California, because I don't want to go too far away from home (and we have great schools here). So 1st I'd like your opinions on these schools: University of California, Los Angeles, University of California, San Diego, University of California,Irvine, University of California, Riverside, California State University, North ridge, California State University, Long Beach, California State polytechnic University, Pomona, and Pepperdine university. Please no rude comments...I'd like honest opinions and information. NOTE. I am NOT asking for you guys to CHOOSE one for me, just on what you think of the school. Although i consider having good grades ... my SAT scores aren't up to their standards, I'll apply but... I won't hope for a miracle :p That's what i really worry about, my SAT's.
